We ordered spicy jokbal with corn cheese and soft tofu stew (soondubu) Food was really great and our server was very nice!! Four side dishes were great too. Will visit next time for sure!!!
My first time trying Korean food, and what a feast it was. The broth with the pork spine was amazing, the pork was juicy and tender and the broth rich and salty. The seafood pancakes are now one of my favourite things ever: they were incredible. The meat was tender and juicy. Service was quick, and the meal was quite cheap considered all we ate.
The gamjatang was really delicious. The meat was tender and well-cooked, and the broth had a rich, spicy flavor that went perfectly with rice. It was full of vegetables, which made the broth taste even more flavorful. You could really feel the care put into the food. I definitely want to come back again.
one of the best, hidden korean cuisine in Allston. We tried the new bossam. I've had this in Seoul Sullungtang across the street but honestly better both in price and quality. Friendly staff and cozy/authentic korean vibe.
When you're craving Gamjatang, I highly recommend this place. The side dishes are varied and all delicious. The corn cheese that comes with it is so good. I forgot to take a picture and just dug in right away. The meat was also super tender. They even provide plastic gloves, which is a thoughtful touch!! The rich flavors and cozy atmosphere make it a great experience.

A friend and I visited Hanmaru for dinner, and it was delicious. We ordered a medium Gamjatang and Jokbal bokum and was served by our wonderful waiter Himang. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I think that this is the best Korean restaurant here in Boston that I’ve had so far. My Korean friend said that the food here is almost exactly identical to the restaurants back home. 100% recommend!!! Also the music choice here is absolutely immaculate!!
The food was awesome!! Personally my favorite Korean restaurant in Boston; wished that I had tried Hanmaru earlier; would definitely go back. The seafood pancake was phenomenal! The service was good too; didn’t rush us at all. Overall very good experience!
